365 Ways to Live Cheap: Your Everyday Guide to Saving Money
This book is just another blog-to-book publication. Every tip available in the book is taken from somewhere else, normally somewhere else that has done frugality tips better than this book. This is just another self-indulgent blogger looking to cash in on a particular “niche”, there is absolutely nothing new here. Either buy “The Complete Tightwad Gazette” or buy a book from a REAL author, not a blogger.

OK, I havent read the book yet, so I will come back and review it when completed. Be that as it may, I am one of Trents 43,000 daily readers on his blog. Great guy, fun writer, lots of ideas. I doubt the book is perfect, but how many good ideas would you need for the $7. 95 investment to make a good investment. One? If you could get 5 good ideas for $7. 95 you would be in the arena of extreme ROI. Will update when I finish the book. Hope you all are well & at peace. jcw

365 Ways to Live Cheap: Your Everyday Guide to Saving Money I WAS SO EXCITED TO GET THIS BOOK–BUT, IT DOESN’T OFFER MUCH MORE THAN I DO NOW. I DID MAKE THE SOAP, AND IT WORKED OK-PROBABLY WON’T DO IT AGAIN. A LOT OF THE BOOK IS JUST GOOD OLD COMMON SENSE. AND, WE PEOPLE IN NEBRASKA HAVE A LOT OF COMMON SENSE AND KNOW HOW TO BE FRUGAL. THE OVER THE TOP LIVING ON THE EAST AND WEST COASTS IS JUST MIND BOGGELING TO US. SO, TRAVIS, MAYBE YOU SHOULD TARGET THE HIGH MAINTENANCE PEOPLE OUT THERE. I WOULD RATHER LIVE “LOW ON THE HOG” THAN HAVE TO COME DOWN A LONG WAYS.

There is nothing new in this book. It is a collection of super-obvious “tips” and ridiculous suggestions. The personal finance sphere is overloaded with books and seemingly everyone is putting a book out there. This book is very shoddy and not worth reading let alone owning.

365 Ways to live cheap by Trent Hamm (Owner of [. . . ]) is really just a collection of tips from his blog and tips easily found on the internet when searching for “How to live cheap” or “Frugal living”.
Most of them are extreme and either require way too much effort and/or time, or they are common sense things you already do. I counted a total of 5 tips in this book that I found to be worthwhile yet none of them will make a significant different any time soon. Trent’s writing style leaves a LOT to be desired. A much better buy would be The Complete Tightwad Gazette
