How To Direct A Light To Point To A Specific Area?

I build custom lighting for my tank. I have the structure that is planned out except for how to direct the light down to the idea.
What type of enclosure for the light can be used does not rust and will look great hanging over my tank. I may need to hide the light enclosure if it is ugly, and I want to do it as cheaply as possible.
My total budget is $ 60. I have the wood that I got free off of CL and LIGHT KITS I was at a thrift store for about $ 2 a piece. I do 4 lights for a 55 liter tank. Any feedback would be great.

  1. Check halogen, mobile (desktop) or recessed such as a home improvement store.
Choose one with a transformer for low voltage (6V or 12V) to avoid getting hurt (or killed) by contact with water.
The bulbs that come with reflector reflects the light, not heat.
I am thinking of a light bulb attached to a ball, which you can easily direct.

  2. try to go to a pet store where they have fish tanks and see what they have done, it can give you a better idea of how to diy.
